Multithreaded in the Wild

Hilary Parker, Stefan Krawczyk, and Jana Beck
- San Francisco, CA

Hello Stitch Fix followers, for the rest of this month we have three Stitch Fixers out in the wild. In addition, we’d also like you to checkout out our SXSW panels to vote for.

New York, NY

Hilary Parker, part of our styling algorithm organization, will be at Jupyter Conf in New York. She will be presenting on Opinionated Analysis Development as part of the “Reproducible research and open science” track. Be sure to not miss her talk at 4:10pm on August 24th.

Santa Clara, CA

Stefan Krawczyk, part of our data platform team, will be speaking at the 5th Annual Global Big Data Conference. His talk will be about “Scaling Data Science at Stitch Fix”. Catch his talk at 10:40am on August 31st, at the Great America Ballroom JX, at the Santa Clara Convention Center.

Salt Lake City, UT

Jana Beck, part of our data platform team, will be speaking at React Rally. She will be presenting about a side project, a prototype application that simulates partner-assisted scanning—an adaptive communication technique used with individuals with severe speech impairments such as “locked-in” syndrome. You can catch her talk at 4:30 p.m. MDT on August 24th at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Salt Lake City.
